Our Charity (www.mychild-andi.com), is dedicated to helping parents, guardians, caregivers and the wider community improve our parenting approaches and raise productive, positive youngsters. The state of the family and our children will determine the state of our future societies and quality of life in the Caribbean. In 2012, we started producing parenting television programmes which aired across the region and by 2014, we launched the Charity us to be able to coordinate and offer even more projects to support parents.
We are inviting all of you to help us to continue the work by joining our “Funding Family”. We are currently seeking to raise US$15,000 by mid-May to produce our next season of the My Child and I Parenting TV Programme. Be part of a movement that’s helping parents from Suriname all the way to the Bahamas to better raise our region’s children. Even families in the Caribbean Diaspora will be able to benefit as materials from the programmes are placed on our online Resource Centre. The feedback from parents, teachers, grandparents etc via email and Facebook and to our workshops over the last few years confirm that parents do need the help and support as theyjjllj face many new challenges in this particular era.
