My Child and I Free Parenting Workshop in Dominica saw 69 parents from different parts of the island meeting at the Castle Bruce Secondary School on Saturday April 18th for a full one-day workshop on parenting.
The Workshop, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Services in Dominica, offered parents both large group personal development coaching as well as smaller breakout sessions dealing with practical advice for raising different age groups of children, facilitated by trainers highly experienced in child development and family counselling.
The workshop ended with a call for Workshop #2!
My Child and I Charity’s efforts were supported by the National Bank of Dominica; LIAT, the Caribbean Airline and the Fort Young Hotel.
Local coordination of the workshop was carried out by the Roving Caregivers Programme Coordinator, Mr Austelle Lockhart.
